Google Site Verification: What is it and what do I need to do?

In this article, we explain how Google Site Verification works and what you need to know.

Google site verification installed in shop

In order to make sure you are the rightful owner of the shop that you wish to link, Google will have to perform a site verification. In this step, we will install a Google snippet on the store's web page. This is for Google to validate the webpage URL and your ownership.

Google site verification active in shop

After the Google snippet has been installed on the store's web page, it is time for Google to validate that the snippet is active in the shop. This validation just takes a couple of minutes to be completed.

Google site verification validated

Once the validation of the Google snippet has been successful, the verification has been successfully validated and we are able to continue to the next step in your account setup.

What do I need to do?

The Google site verification is a completely automated process so we'll do all the hard work for you, while you only have to wait for a couple of minutes. You are able to check the progress at any time by selecting the "Account status" tab in the navigation bar.
